The Tenuta
Our History
At the beginning of the 20th century, many inhabitants of the Lungiana region took to the northern provinces in search of opportunity, including Filippo’s grandparents and great-grandparents who moved to Como prior to the Second World War
Many years later Filippo has frequented the opposite journey, fascinated by Lunigiana’s authenticity and profound cultural traditions, that he came to appreciate as a child on vacation with his Grandparents.

The Rebirth
The rebirth of the estate began with the acquisition of the same by the Volontè family in 2017 to kick off Filippo's ambitious project, but this is very recent history…
The Origins
The cadastral documents of the House date it back to 1820, while the first documents found indicate the beginning of the activity of Mezzadria on the Estate towards the second half of the 19th century.
In the following years, the families owning the entire current area employed at least 30/35 people.
The Activity
The agricultural activity was carried out with the help of cows, oxen, horses and donkeys and mainly concerned wheat, corn, vineyards, olive groves, beans and potatoes.
Upstream of the property there was, and has been maintained, a huge chestnut wood that helped to satisfy the needs of the whole colony.
Roaring Years
Between the beginning of the last century and up to the end of the 70s, the property experienced the best period, the Mezzadria guaranteed a moderate well-being to the families of the workers and guaranteed a production of about 120 / 150q of wine per year. At least 50/60 people lived in the village of Greciola.
The Old Olive Tree
A centenary olive tree that was planted by Gianluigi's grandfather in 1930, along with a few others in the main estate that unfortunately have been lost.
During the works, a dozen olive trees dating back to the 60s/70s were found.
The Downfall
With the cancellation of the Mezzadria, the slow downfall of the Estate began, manifesting itself in an important way between 1984 and 1986 when, with the death of the head of the family of the last owners, it was slowly but inexorably abandoned..
